“Key COVID-19 Clinical Updates and Lessons Learned So Far” was originally recorded on April 30, 2020 and took an in depth look at the novel coronavirus since it started. The faculty for this activity was Roger Seheult, MD who is certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Seheult synthesized the key developments about COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 pathophysiology, transmission, prevention, treatment options & trials, data trends, and responses. “Key COVID-19 Clinical Updates and Lessons Learned So Far” is a collaborative effort between Continuing Education Company and MedCram.com.
Course Objectives:
As a result of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
- Understand the unique aspects of the SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 disease related to epidemiology, pathophysiology, and immunology.
- Demonstrate knowledge regarding the unique aspects of the diagnosis of COVID-19 both in the inpatient and outpatient realm including infection control.
- Apply the recommended treatment regimen for both inpatients and outpatients in the context of minimal current randomized controlled trials and other challenges.
