Learn the Medical Acid Base and its Associated Problems, the Underlying Causes for Medical Acid Base Problems, and Appropriate and Effective Treatment

Many primary care clinicians lack a clear understanding of the medical acid-base. This course aims to improve their understanding of the medical acid base and its associated problems, the underlying causes for medical acid base problems, and appropriate and effective treatment. This CME course will utilize a combination of videos, quizzes, and systematic discussion of clinical scenarios and practice cases to effectively deliver the course content. 

This course features 18 sessions designed to clarify, review, and augment the training and understanding of primary care clinicians in their understanding of medical acid base problems. Topics include Acid Base and ABGs, Introduction and Definitions, Henderson-Hasselbalch Equation, Characteristics and Compensation, Anion and Normal Anion Gap Metabolic Acidosis, Compensation Ratios, Reading Protocol, and Acid Base Guided Practice Questions.
