Explore Denver...The Mile High City
The “Mile High City” of Denver, Colorado is an amazing place to visit. This capital city is famous for its collection of world-class museum, first-rate breweries, and historical landmarks. Thriving alongside Denver’s art and music scenes is the city’s culinary reputation with its emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and James Beard Award-winning chef driven eateries.
Denver is an outdoor lover’s dream - 300 days of sunshine and one of the largest park systems in the country. Visit the Zoo, Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Wild Animal Sanctuary, or the Butterfly Pavilion to get in touch with your nature side.
There are so many different neighborhoods that make Denver a very diverse city. Downtown has the 16th Street Mall which is a mile-long promenade with a wide array of shopping options, Larimer Square is Denver’s trendiest block with great restaurants and nightclubs. The Riverfront area has a children’s museum, bike trails and the aquarium. If you are looking for great craft beer destinations, visit the Highland neighborhood. Golden Triangle is home of the state capital buildings or rent a paddleboat in City Park. East Colfax is the heart of Denver’s music scene with clubs and concert venues…plus so many others.
Looking to explore outside of Denver? The Famous Red Rocks Park is only a 15-mile drive from downtown where you can hike and explore. The Amphitheatre is the most-attended concert venue in the world and was carved from towering red rock monoliths. Dinosaur Ridge features famous Jurassic dinosaur bones and footprints you can see on a self-guided tour. Looking for some casino fun? Visit Black Hawk and Central City which together have more than 20 casinos. Love to hike? Then you should explore Boulder, Colorado with the beautiful Eldorado Canyons and the city was recently named the Happiest City in the U.S. Pikes Peak is an hour south of Denver and there you can take a drive up a twisting scenic road to the top. A 90-minute drive will bring you to the majestic Rocky Mountain National Park for the ultimate in hiking and scenic views.
