Obesity Management Sessions

Medscape Obesity Session
Beyond the Scale: Individualizing Obesity Management in Primary Care (Earn 1.5 credits)
Obesity treatment is advancing rapidly, creating new opportunities for primary care clinicians to improve patient outcomes through personalized, evidence-based care. In this interactive session, learners will explore current and emerging obesity therapies, including incretin-based treatments, and provide practical guidance for selecting the right therapy based on individual patient needs and goals.  Key topics include an overview of the evolving therapeutic landscape and selecting treatment paths tailored to patient-specific factors and obesity-related complications. Through structured, case-based sessions, participants will navigate complex patient scenarios to master clinical titration steps, overcome therapeutic inertia, and integrate shared decision-making within an interprofessional team.

Diabetes Management Sessions & Workshops

Working SessionPrimary Care Collection: Excellence on the Front Line of Diabetes Management
WorkshopApplying the Evidence: Case-Based Strategies for Optimizing Basal Insulin in T2D

Type 2 diabetes remains highly prevalent and continues to be a growing burden in clinical practice, placing primary care providers at the forefront of diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management. In this session, primary care physicians will gain practical, guideline-based strategies for managing type 2 diabetes, with a strong focus on the safe and effective use of basal insulin. They will learn how to initiate and titrate therapy, apply emerging clinical data, and address real-world barriers such as hypoglycemia risk, adherence challenges, and patient resistance – leaving with increased confidence and actionable tools to improve patient outcomes in everyday practice.

Alzheimer's Disease Workshops

Alzheimer’s disease is diagnosed only in later stages – making primary care providers critical to earlier identification and intervention. In this session, clinicians will learn how to recognize early signs of Alzheimer’s disease, apply cognitive screening tools, and interpret diagnostic and biomarker data to support timely and accurate diagnosis. By the end of the workshop, learners will be equipped with practical strategies and increased confidence to detect early-stage disease, differentiate it from other causes of cognitive decline, and make informed decisions about next steps in patient care.
