Learning Objectives
As a result of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
- Evaluate the role of anti-obesity medications for treatment of obesity and diabetes.
- Incorporate interdisciplinary treatment strategies for the patient with Diabesity, including lifestyle modifications, nutrition, psychosocial counseling, and surgical therapies.
- Practice an obesity-centric approach for management of diabetes and how to address Diabesity as a disease.
- Recognize the association, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with obesity and other co-morbid diseases such as diabetes, hypogonadism, PCOS and liver disease.
Target Audience
This course is intended for primary care, family medicine, general internists, obesity medicine, diabeticians, endocrinologists and all clinicians with the desire to improve outcomes when treating patients with Obesity and Diabetes.
Post-Test and Evaluation:
After completing the CE activity, you must successfully complete a post-test. You will then be directed to the Cleveland Clinic myCME system to complete the activity evaluation, claim credit, and receive your continuing education certificate.
